The annual semiconductor industry event "SEMICON Taiwan 2024" took place from September 4 to 6 at Nangang Exhibition Centers Halls 1 and 2. Benefiting from the establishment of advanced processes in recent years, STSP's output has surpassed NT$1 trillion annually, becoming a global hub for the semiconductor industry. It possesses a complete supply chain from IC design and materials/equipment to advanced manufacturing and packaging. For this year’s exhibition, the STSP Administration led 13 park-based companies to exhibit in Taipei as a themed pavilion, jointly marketing the region and aiming to attract continued high-tech investment in Southern Taiwan!
Exhibitors mainly focused on materials, equipment and components, optical inspection, and special alloys. **JY Metal** is Taiwan’s first manufacturer of 3D printing metal powders, offering ultra-pure metal powders. **Leadtek Photonics** provides advanced optical inspection solutions for film thickness, surface profile, warpage, epitaxy/Micro LED defects, fluorescence, and Raman analysis. **Yu Chuan** specializes in ultra-pure semiconductor-grade precursor chemicals. **AMETEK Taiwan** is a global leader in precision metrology instruments and optical system design/manufacturing. **Huang Liang** focuses on CNC precision parts development and manufacturing. **Tonshine Optics** provides high-quality optical components with core optical coating technology for global communication and optoelectronic industries. **Jung Mao** is Taiwan’s first manufacturer combining semiconductor and biomedical ceramic technologies using Taiwanese, German, and Japanese processes. **Sinco**, under China Steel Group, specializes in sputtering and evaporation targets for semiconductors and display panels. **JUMP LASER** provides laser processing and atmospheric plasma equipment. **KEMALI** produces high-performance turbo fans with aerospace-forged materials using 5-axis machining, high-speed motors, and high-frequency inverters. **Taiwan Aerogel** develops patented composite materials, including lithium battery thermal runaway protection. **Funjun Technology** independently develops Parylene coating production systems exported to major US semiconductor testing and materials companies. **TAKING Materials** focuses on liquid metal design and micro-process equipment, producing the world’s thinnest copper foil. AI is driving a new revolution across industries, and STSP plans to leverage its semiconductor cluster to integrate AI and drive cross-industry transformation. Through advanced industrial development and the establishment of a Southern Taiwan tech corridor, STSP aims to bridge the urban-rural gap and realize a balanced vision for Taiwan.
