To help industries meet the major ESG challenges ahead, SYNTEC Group hosted the "Metal Processing Industry ESG Carbon Reduction Solutions and Smart Digital Transformation Sharing Seminar" on the 9th at the Innovation and Value-Added Center for Traditional Industries in Nanzih, Kaohsiung. The event was packed with professionals from all over Taiwan.
SYNTEC Chairman Tsai Yu-Keng stated that with the global push toward net-zero sustainability, Taiwan’s export-driven metal processing industry must establish carbon inventory strategies to remain competitive. Positioning itself as an "equipment management expert for the metal processing industry," SYNTEC co-organized the event with Metal Industries Research & Development Centre and Saturn Sustainability Co., sharing how automation with robotic arms and industrial IoT (IIoT) digitizes data to identify production waste and achieve cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and carbon reduction. He emphasized that the goal is to create tailor-made smart sustainable factories through the sharing of diverse topics and complete solutions.
This event featured Saturn Sustainability presenting strategies and recommendations for corporate carbon neutrality under the 2050 net-zero carbon emission goal. SYNTEC Technology and Leantec shared how to capture energy consumption and analyze carbon emissions via IIoT for digital transformation, along with applications of Robot Cells in metal processing. MIRDC introduced the application of smart manufacturing across industries, while Jumbo Laser discussed intelligent laser processing applications for carbon reduction, giving attendees deep insights into efficient, precise, and environmentally friendly laser processing technologies.
